WELLNESS WEDNESDAY - Love Your Heart
As an American Heart Association ambassador, February is a vital month for me. As the mother of a heart survivor and personal experience with heart health issues related to chronic stress. Let’s talk about simple steps for Physical Wellness without the pressure of rigid resolutions.
1. Small Plate, Big Impact: Instead of a radical diet change, try the "Tapas Approach." Focus on colorful, nutrient-dense portions that nourish your heart without the heavy, sluggish feeling of overindulgence. Portion control! Stop when you are 80% full.
2. The "Daily 20": You don't need a mountain to climb to find your peak performance. A 20-minute brisk walk daily can lower blood pressure and significantly reduce stress. Make it your "non-negotiable" appointment with yourself. Your heart will thank you!

It was an honor to gift my bilingual children's book, "Pumps Magical Adventures/Las Aventuras Mágicos de Pump", to the Children's Health library in commemoration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Our "Pump Up Life" programs distribute books to schools and libraries to educate kids on health-related topics. Children's Health
