Last night, we celebrated our Journey Graduation, and what a special evening it was! Each mentor group gave a presentation, and they did an incredible job sharing the topics they covered and what they’ve learned along the way. It’s always inspiring to hear their growth in their own words.
The night was also a little bittersweet, as all but one of our mentors will be graduating from Carson Newman 🦅next week. We are so proud of each of them and grateful for the impact they’ve made on our participants and this program.
We also had the honor of recognizing our 2026 Mentor of the Year, Dru Seymour! Dru was voted on by her fellow mentors and staff for her dedication, her willingness to support others, and the guidance she provides to our participants. She truly represents the heart of Journey.
Thank you to everyone who made this night so meaningful—we are so proud of this group and excited to see what’s ahead for each of them. 💚💙

We had an incredible Journey Excursion Day at Clapp Farms! 🌿🎯
TWRA officers kicked off the day by teaching our participants archery skills—such a fun and unique experience that challenged focus, patience, and confidence.
After that, Tommy Clapp led our group through three engaging team-building activities that had everyone working together, laughing, and stepping outside their comfort zones.
And of course, we couldn’t leave without a little friendly competition—we wrapped up the day with some volleyball! 🏐
Days like this remind us how powerful hands-on experiences and strong mentorship can be. So grateful for everyone who helped make today special! 💚

We did vision boards today in Journey!! Vision boards remind us that goals don’t have to stay in our heads… when we put them on paper, they start to feel possible. 💭➡️🌟
