Welcome to Tarot Tuesday where we continue our deep dive into the suit of Cups. May I introduce one of my favorite cards to see in a reading, the Nine of Cups.

The Nine of Cups is widely known as the "wish card" of the tarot, representing emotional satisfaction, contentment, and the realization of one’s desires.

Symbolism:
In the Rider-Waite deck, the card depicts a figure sitting on a wooden bench with arms crossed, wearing a confident and satisfied expression. Behind them, nine golden cups are arranged in a semicircular arch, symbolizing an emotional achievement or a sense of abundance and completion.

Meaning in a Reading:
Upright: When the card appears upright, it indicates that your wishes are being granted. It is a time of emotional fulfillment, satisfaction, and self-assurance. It encourages you to celebrate your successes and embrace the joys of life.

Reversed: When the card appears upside down, it may indicate a lack of satisfaction or that your current pursuits are not bringing the emotional fulfillment you expected. It can suggest feelings of greed, overindulgence, or a sense that you are focusing on the wrong things to find happiness.
