Congratulations and gratitude to Calvin Smyre, former and longest serving member of the GA House of Representatives. His new portrait was revealed during a special ceremony in the State Capitol, making him the 7th African American to receive this honor. He happens to love my Sweet Julobell Bakery red velvet cake and shared this wonderful photo of it after he'd had a "few" bites of it😃 after the event. He certainly is living proof of planting seeds to trees for shade we may never see. What a legacy!
