Heyyy y'all.. This is your friendly reminder to PAY THEM PEOPLE!!!
I know this isn't typically a convo that you want to have.. especially on a Monday morning, BUT.. COME HERE...
Having high credit card utilization is the gateway to lower scores, late payments, decreased credit limits, closure of accounts and the worst of them all.. a future charge off.
How long do you plan to only pay the minimum payment? Chances are, you're barely paying any of the card's principle balance.
If you don't have a lump sum, see what options may be available such as:
* Asking your credit card company to "re-rate" your interest. This could result in a much lower interest rate which will help you pay it off faster.
* See if you have another credit card to transfer the balance to. Balance transfers usually have great incentives like 0-2% APR for 12-24 months, which helps you get a break on the interest and pay the account off. (Business credit is definitely the way to go if it's an option)
*Try the "Snowball Method"-start with your lowest credit card, cut it up to prevent new charges and work on paying it off within a certain time by making aggressive monthly payments. Once that account is paid, go to the next account.
*Consolidation Loan- Pay all cards off with a loan. This boost scores, lowers utilization and gives you ONE payment as opposed to several. You'll save money in interest.. but be careful not to rack up new credit card debt.
*Get a large tradeline to lower your overall utilization until you can pay your accounts down.

I have so many clients that have gotten in less than satisfactory deals with cars. Tips for purchasing:
*Go where you know a reputable salesman.
👍🏽King Gregory
👍🏽 Marcus Car Salesman Booker
👍🏽Sean Thompson
Are all recommendations from
me. If you're looking for a call get with one of them first.
*If you’re not paying cash, get your OWN financing done prior to going to the dealership.
*Start with your bank
credit union.
*ALWAYS ask about leasing a car. The notes will be cheaper and you can always opt in to purchase the vehicle. If you like yo switch cars every 2-3 years like me, this is a great option.
*Unless you want dozens of inquiries on your credit report, Do NOT authorize the dealership to shop your credit out to dozens of banks, authorize 2-3 banks if you must go this route.
*Make sure you research the pros/cons of the specific vehicle you want.
*Make sure the car will still keep MOST of its value when you drive off the lot.
*Ask for pre-paid maintenance.
*Request the dealer pull a NEW CARFAX in your presence.
*Prior to purchasing the car, be sure to take the vehicle to a second shop and get a pre-buyers inspection done. Usually no more than $150. A second shop will be honest about whether it's a good car or not.
*ALWAYS get GAP insurance
*Extended warranties are recommended ESPECIALLY if the car is near or out of the manufacturer's warranty. Make sure the extended warranty is "Bumper to Bumper"
*DO NOT purchase a car with rust damage, this will be a problem down the line
*Down payments are almost always unnecessary if your credit is good...of course if you want your car note to be below a certain amount, a down payment is warranted.
Everyone's situation is different but if you have a game plan, you should have a great car buying experience.
