About Us

Welcome to Walnut Creek Retreat! Our little piece of paradise in Decatur, TX. This hobby farm and Airbnb has been a long time dream that is finally unfolding for our family.

We are a blended family of 8 through biological birth, foster care, and adoption. In our free time we love to hike, go on nature walks, watch movies, go camping, and play with our animals. The downtown Decatur square has several fun shops, a bakery, candy shop, and restaurants to explore. Some of our favorites are Trinity Street Coffee Bar for live music nights, coffee, and beer, Sweetie Pies Ribeyes (who have the yummiest yeast rolls and our favorite smoked pork chops,) local antique shops, and the LBJ National Grasslands for a hike. Sometimes we’ll venture into the tiny town of Bridgeport (about 30 mins from us) to hike at Endeavour Park, hit the playgrounds and picnic at Harwood Park, sip on a coffee and grab a book at Blessed Brew, or fish on Lake Bridgeport at Wise County Park.
