Our first feature student is William Smith. William is employed with the Boys & Girls Club of Western Sussex in Seaford. William works in the garden and greenhouses at the boys & girls club planting, maintaining, and harvesting vegetables and flowers that are utilized in the center’s kitchen. He completed the Plant Science pathway as a junior and is applying the knowledge and skills he learned in class to this real life experience. He also shares this knowledge with the young people who attended the programs at the Boys & Girls Club.

Welcome! The Work Based Learning Program is an opportunity offered to high school seniors to apply the knowledge they have learned in their Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes to real life experiences. It also offers many the opportunity to explore/shadow in a career field that fits their career aspirations. It is my hope to feature a student, employer partner, CTE program, and past student success stories through out the school year. If you own or manage a business and think your business would be a good fit for our students, please reach out. We’d like to add you as a potential employee partner.
