We loved our hosted overnight stay at the Uncommoner Hotel! If you want the perfect balance between kid-friendly but still fun for the adults, man is this the place for you. A full restaurant with a bar (and insane cocktails), a morning coffee shop, indoor and outdoor pools, cabanas, a beautiful view, games, and nice rooms…there is even walkable mini golf and ice cream + sno cones right next door! The Uncommoner is located in S Yarmouth…a perfect mid-Cape stay.

When you move to the place you used to vacation, it changes the vibe whether you want it to or not. Cape Cod isn’t just the place we vacation anymore. It’s the place we work, parent, buy groceries…feel stressed. It’s not like vacation where money isn’t real and food has no calories because it’s “just a week.” But sometimes, I get transported back to the other Cape Cod that exists in my mind. I’ll wake up in the morning and it just smells like vacation. A really good low tide sunset does it. Drinking an iced coffee while driving down 6A does it. Ice cream with hot fudge and rainbow sprinkles from Captain Frosty’s? Every time. Don’t get me wrong, I love living here. But every now and then I like to be back on my Cape Cod vacation.
