The Bettersweet Baking Project
Cookies for a Cause | a better way to treat yourself
Baked with high quality ingredients & a healthy dose of community impact!

In today’s fast-paced world of convenience, it is easy to miss the “fine print” details. Cue in, small businesses, and in The Bettersweet Baking Project’s (TBBP) case, a home-based cottage food operation. What people don’t always get to see is the time, effort, love, thought and care that is put into every single order (Priti Patel).
In my kitchen, you won’t find premixed cookie dough, fancy commercial-sized equipment and appliances like your favorite brick and mortar bakery has, supply chain automation, bulk discounts for ingredients and supplies, or support staff of any kind.
What you will find, however, is one woman (me) who proudly wears ALL of the hats. I am passionate about providing my customers with high-quality scrumptious cookies that contain all-natural ingredients, and are free from artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. I am also wholeheartedly invested in my community and truly believe in the power of making a difference. Customer service and integrity are nonnegotiables and what helps my business grow organically.
To each and every one of you who has taken a chance on TBBP, and provided me with encouraging and constructive feedback, I am eternally grateful. Thank you for supporting my mission. I look forward to welcoming new customers as I move along this rewarding journey. Cheers to baking the world a better place! 👩🏽🍳🍪🌎🫶🏼

As The Bettersweet Baking Project (TBBP) enters Year 3, I am reflecting on the growth I have experienced personally and professionally since the early prepandemic days in 2020 when this small business was nothing more than a concept. 💡 Fast forward to the present - I have celebrated the highs, faced some challenges, and mustered up the courage to get back up and try again many times. 💪🏽
In 2025, I began my journey as a volunteer with a local nonprofit Save The Aurora Reservoir, an environmental justice organization. 🌎 I had the sweet honor of partnering with them for two community bake sales. 👩🏽🍳 These collective experiences quickly reminded me of the power of community: people from many different walks of life coming together to support a common, good cause. 🤝🏼 It was a life changing year with plenty of valuable lessons.
Although me and my small business have evolved, a few things remain unchanged. I continue to bake cookies 🍪 made with high quality ingredients, all natural flavors, colors and preservatives. 🌱 Plus, I am constantly guided by a strong set of morals and TBBP directly reflects my values, inspiring me to do the work that I do. This is what I like to call “a better way to treat yourself”.
My goal for this year is to continue to give back to my community by supporting social causes that are near and dear to my heart. ♥️ With that spirit of humanity in mind, I am excited to share TBBP’s newly redesigned menu [see links on page]. We are open for orders and have a number of exciting things in the works, so please stay tuned! As always, I truly appreciate your support of my community-focused small business.
Bettersweet wishes,
Priti
