The front of the engine lost another five pounds by converting to a poly rib alternator belt. I made an adapter to mount a BMW power steering pulley to the crank. I also installed a one way clutch alternator pulley since this engine has so little inertia.

Haven't posted much lately. That's because we've been hard at work!

Modified intercooler and custom manifold all welded up by . The intake air temperature sensor is visible on the left. It is mounted close to the intercooler's fins to reduce erroneous readings due to heat soak. The manifold was designed for minimum volume and to make conversion to twin scroll possible later on. The fl**ges are fixed to thick aluminum plates during welding to contain purge gas and prevent the 304 stainless steel from warping.

Finally back to work on the 242 after a busy summer and fall at work and helping out with the trophy truck ( on Instagram). Both fl**ges are bolted to heavy aluminum plates to contain argon purge during welding and reduce warping.
