New toilet flapper

Sponge or towel

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Turn Off the Water:

Locate the shut-off valve behind the toilet and turn it clockwise to stop the water flow. Flush the toilet to drain the tank.

Remove the Old Flapper:

Take off the lid of the toilet tank and set it aside carefully. Disconnect the chain from the flush lever. Remove the old flapper from the overflow tube by unhooking it (you may need to wiggle it gently).

Clean the Seal Area:

Use a sponge or towel to clean the area around the flapper seal. Ensure it's free from any debris that could prevent a good seal with the new flapper.

Install the New Flapper:

Attach the new flapper to the overflow tube where the old one was. Hook the ears of the flapper onto the pegs on the sides or clip it to the tube, depending on the design.
