Did you know certain everyday products can trigger a failed breath test on your IID?

🚫 Alcohol-based mouthwash
🚫 Some energy drinks & fermented foods
🚫 Certain medications

This isn't a device error. Your IID is doing exactly what it's designed to do - detecting trace amounts of alcohol on your breath.

Here are some common sources of trace alcohol you might not think about:

🍞 Bread, especially fresh-baked or sourdough
🍹 Kombucha and some fruit juices
💊 Liquid cold medicines and some cough syrups
🦷 Mouthwash containing ethanol
🌮 Certain sauces, marinades, and fermented foods like sauerkraut or kimchi

The amounts are small — but small is enough.

Pro tip: Wait at least 15 minutes after eating, drinking, or using any oral product before testing. Rinse your mouth with water first. When in doubt, wait a little longer.
