There was a point in my business where I was so done. Not with entrepreneurship, but with the version of it I had built.
The clients that drained me. The rates I had outgrown. The way I was showing up out of obligation instead of alignment. I wanted to blow the whole thing up and start over.
And honestly? That feeling makes sense. When something stops fitting, the instinct is to get rid of it entirely.
But what I’ve learned is that the urge to burn it down usually isn’t a sign that you need to start over. It’s a sign that you’ve outgrown the current version of yourself and your business needs to catch up.
You don’t need to blow it up. You need to evolve out of it.
That looks like letting go of the clients who aren’t aligned. Raising your rates even when it’s scary. Setting boundaries you’ve been avoiding. Making decisions from who you’re becoming instead of who you’ve been.
The business you actually want is on the other side of that, not on the other side of burning everything down.
If this is where you are right now, remember that the feelings you are having are normal. And you will fall in love with your business again, but not by setting it on fire!
Comment Evolving and I’ll send you a guide that walks you through the exact things I worked through when I was ready to burn my business down.
