Senator Jon Ossoff delivered a scathing critique of political corruption in the U.S., stating plainly, “America had the most corrupt political system in the Western world” even before #DonaldTrump emerged. Ossoff acknowledged that Trump tapped into real frustration with a system “running on corporate money, secret money, billionaire money, both sides.” He pointed directly to Citizens United as “the worst court decision in modern American history,” unleashing a flood of dark money into politics.
