Hold on a minute! While tax assessors don’t literally see mansions, property taxes can feel high for a few reasons:

1️⃣ Home upgrades: New additions or renovations can bump up your home’s assessed value and your tax bill.

2️⃣ Just bought? Big congrats! But buying a house often triggers a reassessment based on the purchase price.

3️⃣ Location, Location, Location: Living in a bustling city with great schools and amenities often means higher property taxes to support those services.

These are just a few of the possible reasons! Confused? My blog breaks down property taxes and helps you understand the “why” behind the bill. Be informed and check it out now.
