Favorite Life Saving Oil: While I was lucky enough to escape morning sickness, there were still a few days of nausea, and lots of headaches as I adjusted to pregnancy. Combine that with clinical rotations and some of the more... interesting smells that nurses encounter, PEPPERMINT became my absolute best friend. Rolled onto the back of the neck and headaches were eased. Queasy stomach? Taking a few deep breaths helped settle whatever was going on in there. The life saving part came when working through some of those "interesting" smells that humans acquire. By putting on a mask, rolling peppermint onto another mask and placing that over the one I already had on, my nose, stomach and ego were saved from some of the more interesting smells.
