I guess life was easier during our parents generation simply because they didn’t have 7,000 other people following them or liking their picture at their disposal when their lives or relationships got hard. Nowadays when our friendships and relationships hit rock bottom, we just log in and get high on this false sense of security and appreciation. We, as a generation, have depreciated ourselves to where we value our worth based on comments and inbox messages filled with colorful words that have no depth. The people who actually love us, when there’s no filter on our lives, have become an option while the rest of the world, that only sees what you allow, have become a priority.
