Durango Cool Jazz

Just a little over a week until we welcome Nicki Parrott, world-renowned double bassist and jazz vocalist! She's not simply a musician who sings. She is a complete vocalist with fine intonation, intuitive swing, flawless phrasing and a lovely sound.

Based in Australia, she performed with the legendary Les Paul for over 10 years and has shared the stage with jazz greats Randy Brecker, Clark Terry, Bucky and John Pizzarelli, Dick Hyman, Michel Legrand, Arif Mardin; and studied with trailblazers of her instrument, such as Ray Brown, Rufus Reid and John Clayton.

Accompanying Nicki is Larry Fuller, one of the premier mainstream jazz pianists living today. Based in New York City, Fuller was the pianist with the legendary bassist Ray Brown’s Trio, Jeff Hamilton’s Trio, and John Pizzarelli’s Quartet.
