It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news that Sophia, GSRA Class of 2025, has gone to the rainbow bridge. At 13.5 years young, her family shares that she was "a couch surfer to her last day". Our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time. Run free, sweet girl. 🌈🐾

Meet Honey!

Honey is a sweet, gentle, 1 year old German Shepherd girl with a soft heart and a playful side just waiting to shine. This lovely girl thrives in a calm, structured home where she can settle in at her own pace. She’s naturally quiet and sensitive, and she will do best with a patient family who understands that building trust takes a little time. The reward is watching Honey’s personality bloom into the loving, happy dog she truly is.

One thing Honey absolutely loves is other dogs! She needs a playful medium or large canine companion in her forever home to help continue building her confidence and show her how fun life can be. Honey enjoys running, chasing, and playing with her dog friends and often follows their lead. She is housebroken and crate trained and has wonderful house manners. She would enjoy a home with a securely fenced yard (minimum 5-foot fence required) where she can safely stretch her legs and play.

With patience, consistency, and another confident dog by her side, Honey continues to gain confidence every day. She is truly a delightful dog who forms deep bonds with the people she loves. If you’re looking for a gentle companion and have a quieter home where Honey can feel secure, she may be the perfect addition to your family.

GSRA adopts in NC, SC, and VA

Sometimes we just have to stop questioning the world and do the right thing. In this case, that's finding this boy a home where he will be cherished and spoiled. Despite not getting a great start (to stay the least), "Nero" is a joyful, 2 year old, long-haired German Shepherd who is available through our friends at Blue Moon Shepherd Rescue.
