I have a relatively new account .doing.things that I created to alleviate some of the pain caused by the news cycle. Follow the pickles there to see what they’re up to.

I worked with the talented Susan Brown on rebranding her Interior Design practice in the past year. We recently launched her rebrand. These are just two components of her new brand system—and there are more! The goal for an effective brand is to create a flexible system that can be used in multiple applications. These two components work well for applications in a square or vertical space within a document. The one on the right is perfectly suited for her website’s site icon. Components that are not shown include the name (signature) portion of her logo in stacked and horizontal formats. For this rebrand, I tried to capture both a traditional and modern feel, because that is what Susan is known for. She also uses artisanal things in her designs, like stained glass, which is implied in the design of the logo. As a designer, myself, it is truly a joy to work with another creative. Susan was delightful to design for, allowing me to freely do my thing, and when that happens, the results are magical.
