It is with heavy hearts that Texas Rescue Patrol acknowledges the passing of Glennda Merritt-Alcorn, a truly exceptional individual who dedicated her life to serving the community. Glennda, served as Administrator for Northern Hudspeth County EMS for many years, was a tireless advocate for emergency medical services in Hudspeth County and the surrounding areas. She was instrumental in establishing a 911 EMS ambulance service for the county, a testament to her commitment and personal sacrifice. Her dedication ensured that vital services were available to those in need. When Texas Rescue Patrol first began assisting Hudspeth County, Glennda was one of our strongest champions. Alongside Sheriff West and ESD 2 Commissioners, she provided invaluable support for our organization and operations, even establishing crucial mutual aid agreement that allowed us to work seamlessly together. Beyond her professional achievements, Glennda was a kind-hearted soul and a loving mother. Her warmth and generosity touched countless lives, and her presence will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Our sincere condolences go out to Glennda's family and our friends at Northern Hudspeth County EMS during this difficult time. Her legacy of service and compassion will undoubtedly continue to inspire us all. 🙏 Rest in Peace Glennda-
