Thank you Ivy Room!! Thank you so much for having myself Adam Tell June & join the bill with and last night (Sunday, April 12)! This was the first real set performed by Ruby & myself, we had a great time and it was an honor to open the show amongst friends, and fellow musicians that I personally admire . Ohh Lordy this is going to be good!! I'll be singing and playing guitar with the incredible Ruby Lee Hill singing with me for the 1st official time. It's going to be sweet I tell ya!
Then we got the unstoppable AMC if you don't know that acronym is it's not the movie theater ya dingus, although his songs could likely be in any western movie, crooning and a pickin up that mysterious southwest ghost town spirit. I'm talking about Andres Miguel Cervantes god damn it! Him and his band unleash a performance that you don't want to miss.
The Brother Bob Sumnerr is on Tour celebrating his latest album Some Place to Rest Easy. This is one hell of a songwriter and one fine record!. His songs feel immediately familiar in a strange fantastic way. Some Place to Rest Easy is a brilliant intertwining of the straight forward Americana Country Music that brings to mind John Prine or Steve Earle and blends seamlessly into the sweet side of alt country, reminds me of Wilco, or My Morning Jacket. Whatever it is It's a really great album! So... You should come out and take a listen to some really great music this Sunday at Ivy Room! Let's show Mr Sumner and his band some East Bay support!!
