Lord willing we will have the forge equipment at SCC completed and ready for class next weekend. If you are interested in taking the class hurry and register because they are only a few slots open. The price is 70 for the class plus 15 for materials. There is not a forge around that will give you 24 hrs of hands on training at the price the college is. The average class at a forge runs 250 and up for a 4 hr class. I will post some pics of the college forge when it is completed. All that will be missing is you!

Ive been working at the college today and we are getting closer to having the class set up!. We will be ready and are looking forward to the first day! If you haven't registered you need to go to SCC home page and register or use the link I posted. There is a limited number of spots for the class and several people have already registered.

The setup for the class in a few weeks is going great! We have most of the equipment in, just waiting on a couple more forges, and I spent yesterday at the college setting up the SCC forge. I plan to have everything totally setup and ready this week. The first class will be a blast! It is always fun to be there first to use new equipment and start getting it broke in. I have several projects planned for each Saturday, so you will have the opportunity to make several things each Saturday. Just bring your swinging arm and plenty of energy! It will be fun but you will be a little tired after each session.

We want to give an update on the Blacksmithing class at SCC. The registration page says you will make 2 items to bring home. I just want to let everyone know you will be making more than 2 items to make and take home. You will make at least 1 item a day in class to take home. I have about 3 items a day. However, how many you get to will depend on each individual. On the last Saturday being the exception. We will only be making 1 item that day, but it will take the longest to finish. Im not going to say what we will be making. All I will say is it is one of my favorite things to forge and amd also one of our biggest sellers. The class has very limited space so make sure yoi register soon if you are interested.
