🚧 A heads-up for Route 1 drivers, from Orland/Ellsworth town line to Christian Ridge Road!

Starting Monday, July 6, 2026, MaineDOT will begin crack sealing work on Route 1 from the Ellsworth city line to Christian Ridge Road.

🚗 Expect one lane of alternating traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. each day while crews are working.

The project is expected to take about a week (weather permitting), so if you're heading that way, you may want to allow a few extra minutes for your trip.

Please slow down, follow the signs, and help keep everyone safe while this important road maintenance is underway.
