Cake Sera Sera

It’s always an honour to be asked to make a cake for a very special occasion, especially when I also made this cake in pink and white for Mollie’s big sister a few years ago. This cake was Victoria sponge with a top tier in chocolate cake and chocolate filling. The cross on top is picked out in flowers - I really enjoyed decorating it.

This cute little 3 tier was for an even cuter little girl! All cakes were Victoria sponge with chocolate buttercream filling - rainbows, flowers and butterflies was the brief and Francesca was so happy with it!

Happy birthday to Oliver who turned 2 this week. He loves animals and his mum chose this tractor and farm animal themed Victoria sponge cake for him. I love the challenge of making the animals!

Happy birthday Ava! A ten pin bowling themed chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling and covering all topped off with melted milk chocolate and some maltesers.

I know it’s been an age since I posted here but I have had a lot of requests to start posting again. I have a massive back catalogue but one at a time .... these Victoria cupcakes were donated to my local church who are raising funds for Xmas dinner for elderly neighbours. Poppies for rememberance.

I always feel very honoured to be asked to make a wedding cake, so was delighted to make this 4 tier for beautiful bride Sinem and her groom Kallah. The cake was lemon sponge iced in ivory celebration fondant, and decorated with fresh flowers by the florist. The silver cake stand was hired from Cakecraft World in Bromley. Congratulations to a beautiful couple.

Before I get too behind again, belated happy birthday to cricket fan Colin, who was treated to this Victoria sponge two tier cake for his 50th. Hope you enjoyed your cake, Colin!

This first birthday cake was Victoria sponge filled and covered in vanilla buttercream. A fondant teddy, building blocks and stars add the finishing touches. Happy birthday baby Tommy!

I enjoyed making this cake once before, so was delighted to be asked to make it for a real fireman! Happy birthday to Fireman Richard, brother of my colleague Martin. Hope you enjoyed your cake!

I was really hoping that the birthday boy who received this cake wasn't going to be disappointed that it was a cake and not a real bake well tart! Luckily Terry was happy with the cake, but didn't want to cut it! I don't think that feeling lasted too long though. Happy birthday Terry x

Another Google moment to research for this cake - LOL dolls! Scarlett's favourite is Shorty and I really enjoyed making this cake for her. Scarlett always has a hug for me, and when she thanked me for her cake she said "how did you know she's my favourite?" Well, Nanny Chelle knows these things Scarlett! X x

Another little girl who I love to bits turned 5 in March - the time flies! She had a unicorn theme going on this year with rainbow stripes inside and out! All seven colours of the rainbow, in layers of cake made up the two tiers. Happy birthday Lyla!
