This article shows the county council leadership led by Councilwoman Denson and Ryan Mello desire for your private property. Devalue by removing bonus density or downzoning R5 to R10 then arrive with tax payer funds to buy for preservation. It’s been happening for decades in King County.
Owner of huge Crescent Valley forestland threatens logging, selloff to preserve dream of Canterwood-like development - Gig Harbor Now Known locally as the 1,000 Acre Wood, the plot's future could be determined in part by an ongoing Pierce County Comprehensive Plan update.
Please submit public comment and attend at 3pm Tuesday May 14th PC County Council Meeting. Council members Mello, Denson, Hitchen and Campbell all voted in favor of removal of maximum density and many other measures that will raise property taxes for all, encourage suburban sprawl and reduce your properties value and ability to use it in the future.

Pierce County Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing Dates Announced The Comprehensive Plan Draft Documents comment period has closed, but there is still opportunity to provide input to the Planning Commission on which policies to include in the final draft.
