A cherished Penn State Behrend tradition continues. 💙🤍

Join us on Thursday, July 30, 2026, as we welcome the newest members of the Penn State Behrend Pioneer Alumni and celebrate those who have long been part of this special community.

Pioneer Alumni are graduates who reached this milestone more than 50 years ago, and each year we gather to honor their lasting connection to Behrend and the impact they have made on generations of students who followed.

This year's celebration will include lunch, a guided tour of the arboretum, and a special VIP Carillon concert. We are especially excited to recognize the Class of 1976 as they become our newest Pioneer Alumni inductees.

We look forward to celebrating the memories, friendships, and enduring Penn State pride that continue to unite our Pioneer Alumni.

Cora MacBeth, director of the School of Science at , has been named a Big Ten Academic Alliance Department Executive Officer Fellow. The program supports university administrators who have demonstrated exceptional ability.

For generations, Wilson Picnic Grove has been a place where the Penn State Behrend community gathers, celebrates, and makes memories. While the pavilion remained much the same for decades, recent updates helped make the space more accessible, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone who visits.

The improvements included updated facilities, better lighting, a new roof, improved walkways, and new picnic tables. These enhancements reflect Penn State Behrend’s ongoing commitment to investing in campus spaces and ensuring they continue to serve students, alumni, faculty, staff, and visitors for years to come.

Today, we celebrate Wilson Picnic Grove and the role it plays in bringing our community together. 💙
