Team Oregon Build and Reynolds Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air are showing what is possible when industry connects directly with classrooms. 🔨🏠

Through Team Oregon Build, Pleasant Hill High School students recently completed tiny shelter projects that will be distributed to Hosea Youth Services to support youth experiencing homelessness. Alongside Reynolds Electric & Plumbing, students gained hands-on experience in electrical wiring and construction while building something that will make a real difference in their community.

With more than 93 schools, 500+ builds, 8,000+ students, and 23 counties engaged, Team Oregon Build is a powerhouse example of career connected learning in action.

Gratitude to the students, schools, industry partners, and community partners who continue to make this work possible, including PIVOT Architecture, Everyone Village, and Lane Education Service District. Together, these partnerships are helping prepare the next generation of skilled workers while creating meaningful impact across Oregon.

At last week’s Lane Workforce Partnership Board of Directors meeting, our team welcomed four graduate students from the University of Oregon’s Planning, Public Policy and Management (University of Oregon PPPM) program to present research focused on mapping behavioral health career pathways and certifications.

The presentation, shared in partnership with the University of Oregon Institute for Policy Research and Engagement, explored the current behavioral health workforce landscape and highlighted opportunities to better align education, training, and career pathways to support the growing needs of the sector.

Lane Workforce Partnership appreciates the team of PPPM students for sharing their research and engaging the Board of Directors in an important conversation around strengthening and expanding behavioral health workforce pathways across Oregon.
