Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, stepmoms, grandmas, mothers-in-law, and those who love and support like a mom. Your encouragement, patience, and dedication do not go unnoticed, especially on race days. Thank you for all the early mornings, cheering from the sidelines, helping hands, and unwavering support you give to our racers and our community. We appreciate you today and every day.

So much to say, so little time. The truth is, we don’t always have enough resources, time, or hands to do everything we dream of.

Things have changed, and so has the path to serving.

In the past, I wasn’t always able to keep every commitment to other organizations. But I’ve learned this: I can serve best where I already am planted. Right now, that’s in schools — as an FBLA and DECA advisor, mentoring students and giving them opportunities to learn, grow, and lead.

I’ve also rekindled my passion for community events — teaming up with International Soap Box Derby, McHenry and Green Bay Chapter, and Greater Chicago Soap Box Derby to create opportunities for kids to participate in Soap Box Derby races here in Racine, while starting the build of our own cart. Please mark your calendars: March 21st, we are holding Clinics at Festival Hall, during the Gaming Vault Convention, the race is on.
This is just the beginning of streamlining and reorganizing how GetOffTheStreets.org serves. My focus is to make sure our efforts are deliberate, aligned with our mission, and truly impactful.
