Yep, sure is. And that’s why it’s incredibly valuable to work with a Realtor who thinks outside the box.

Since I listed this home as “coming soon” everywhere online, I have received tremendous interest. More than 10 showing requests, just to me directly…in addition to showings requested through cooperating agents.

In just a couple of days of exposure…that’s…a lot.
So I decided to do something different.
An Open House.

A controlled window of time that prospective and interested tenants can come and tour and browse this beautiful home with a bit of a more casual vibe.
I will have the online application open and available on my laptop for visitors to use to apply on the spot, as well as through a QR code that they can scan and use to complete an application after they leave.

I fully expect “multiple offers” of applicants, and this process will collect them all at once and allow my clients to browse and compare them in a short period of time, rather than strung over several days or weeks.

So yes, an Open House at a rental listing is different.

But in a competitive market, different (and creativity and efficiency!) is what it takes.

I’m not ashamed to say, that made me proud.

For the almost 3 decades I’ve been a Realtor, I have always felt that my reputation and how those I work with are left feeling after our interactions (including professionals on the other side of the transaction) means more to me than anything.
No matter if I close 10 transactions in a year or 100, if I haven’t done all that I can so that statements like that are the lasting impression, I’m doing it wrong.
