Carlos Cesar for Mayor
Former 20-year President of the Flint Neighborhood Association. Dedicated to serving Fall River as your next mayor.
For years, people in the city have complained that the same people always run for office, and it's time for someone new: a regular guy. That's why I ran for Mayor. Unfortunately, those same people who complained for all these years decided not to come out and vote. I'm disappointed in the results; but I'm blessed for all of the people and businesses who were brave enough to step up and support me. I will never forget your kindness.

I want to thank everyone who came out to support my fundraiser last week — your encouragement and energy mean so much as we move this campaign forward. A special thank you to Anne Brensley, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and Manny Silva, candidate for State Senate, for joining us and standing with Fall River. Together, we are building the momentum for real change in our city!

Statement on Inappropriate Remarks Regarding Charlie Kirk
The recent invocation of the phrase “you reap what you sow” by a city board member in reference to Charlie Kirk demands immediate and unequivocal condemnation. Such callousness is an affront to the principles of civility and empathy that should govern our public discourse.
While the right to free speech is sacrosanct, it does not grant license to weaponize words, especially in the wake of tragedy. The board member’s statement is not merely insensitive; it is a reprehensible abdication of moral responsibility, inflicting further anguish upon those already grappling with loss. This is not a matter of political disagreement; it is a matter of basic human decency.
It is also important to note that these board members are appointments made by the mayor. With that responsibility comes accountability. When appointees fail to uphold the standards of integrity and decency expected of them, it reflects directly on City Hall’s judgment and leadership.
The individual in question has demonstrated a profound lapse in judgment, rendering their continued service on the board untenable. Their presence now serves as a festering wound, undermining the very values of respect and understanding that our community strives to uphold. The integrity of our civic institutions demands accountability.
Therefore, I join the chorus of voices calling for the immediate resignation of the board member. Should they fail to heed this call, I urge the relevant authorities to pursue all available avenues for their removal. The message must be unambiguous: such behavior will not be tolerated, and those who engage in it will be held accountable.
As your elected leader, I pledge to ensure that our city remains a sanctuary of inclusivity and mutual respect. We will not allow the venom of hate speech to poison our community. Instead, let us redouble our efforts to foster dialogue, understanding, and a shared commitment to the values that bind us together. The pursuit of justice demands no less.

In Support of Veteran Service Officer Mr. Talos Farris – City of Fall River
I am writing to express my unwavering support for the Veteran Service Officer, Mr. Talos Farris (VSO), of our great city of Fall River, and to call for a formal investigation into what appears to be political retaliation. Such actions, marked by unnecessary hostility and “kiss the ring” dynamics, must come to an end if we are to effectively serve our veterans and our community as a whole.
This issue, though attributed to one councilor, reflects poorly on our city. This behavior is not only unacceptable but must be addressed immediately. It is crucial to recognize that change must start at the top. Elected officials and councilors should be examples of integrity, not agents of bullying and harassment. Under my administration, such conduct will not be tolerated.
This is not the first instance I have encountered this problem, which is why my administration will prioritize the creation of an anti-bullying, healthy workplace environment. Our city employees deserve the right to work in a space free from intimidation and fear. My office will maintain an open-door policy, encouraging any city employee to share their concerns without hesitation.
The toxic climate that has prevailed for decades needs to be dismantled. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Mr. Farris for his tireless dedication and exemplary work as VSO. His commitment to our veterans is commendable, and I wholeheartedly support him and his office in their ongoing efforts to serve our veterans. I firmly stand behind him in this matter.
Together, we must foster a culture of respect and collaboration to ensure the well-being of our veterans and the entire community of Fall River.
Thank you.

Today we honor the 24th anniversary of September 11th—a day that forever changed our nation. We remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, the bravery of first responders who ran toward danger, and the resilience of the American spirit that carried us forward. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we continue to stand united as one nation. 🇺🇸
