Fargo Post 2 Baseball

Post #2 wins their first game in Lincoln, Neb., with a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over Creighton Prep.

Brander Hilmert’s sac fly in the bottom of the 7th scored Hunter Giere for the winning run.

Post #2 was led at the plate by Caden Nelson’s three RBIs on three hits including two doubles and a solo home run to open the 3rd.

Southpaw Beckett Gigstad got the win in two innings of relief work.

In game two, Post #2 was behind 1-0 to Papio South in the 4th, but the game was delayed, then suspended due to severe weather in the area.

Post 2 starts tournament action down in Lincoln, NE. Game 1 is set for 5:30 PM against Creighton Prep, while game 2 is set for 8:00 PM vs Papio South.

Tonight’s game between our own Jets and Bombers has been cancelled due to expected weather conditions…stay safe!

We hope to see you Monday night at Jack Williams as the Jets play host to the Crookston, MN, squad.
