One training program lays the foundation. The next one opens up a whole new world. 🌎🐾

Rocket has already put in the work to build a strong obedience foundation, and now she’s back to take the next step in her training journey: Off-Leash Training.

Earlier this year, Rocket joined us for our Board & Train program, where she learned to channel all that classic Labrador enthusiasm into better choices, improved leash manners, and clear communication with her handler. Now it’s time to build on those skills and take them into real-world situations.

Off-leash training isn’t about giving dogs unlimited freedom; it’s about teaching them how to make great choices when they have it. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be strengthening Rocket’s recall, advancing her obedience around distractions, and building the reliability needed for safe adventures with her family.

Rocket has already shown us how much she’s capable of, and we’re excited to help her reach that next level. We can’t wait to share her progress as she works toward earning even more freedom and confidence along the way. 💛🚀

Welcome, Kittson! 🐾

Kittson is a young Belgian Malinois joining us for our 5-week Day Training Program, and we’re excited to help him and his mom build a life that’s a little less stressful and a lot more enjoyable.

Like many working breeds, Kittson has a busy mind and plenty of drive. Without the right outlets and structure, he’s developed some habits that have made his owner’s everyday life challenging, from pulling on the leash and jumping on guests to struggling with impulse control and settling in new environments.

One of Kittson’s biggest goals is learning that it’s okay to relax and safely be confined when needed. Every dog should be able to rest comfortably in a kennel or safe space, whether it’s at home, the veterinarian, a boarding facility, or in an emergency. Right now, that’s a skill that’s been difficult for Kittson, and helping him feel more comfortable and confident during those moments will be an important part of his journey.

Throughout his program, we’ll also be focusing on basic obedience, leash manners, appropriate enrichment, and teaching him that he doesn’t have to be “on” all the time. By giving his drive a productive outlet and helping him understand clear expectations, we’ll set him and his family up for long-term success.

Kittson is an incredibly social, affectionate dog who loves to work with people. We can’t wait to help him channel that enthusiasm into the skills he’ll need to thrive at home and out in the world.
