Earlier this week, I was honored to present to the Federal Way City Council, on behalf of the 30th Legislative District Delegation, to share a “Post-Session Debrief”. This included a discussion on the City’s policy priorities, budget requests, locally targeted investments, and what comes next in 2027!

In a time where division drives our political narrative, collaboration that centers our communities is key. Thanks to Sen. Claire Wilson & Rep. Jamila Taylor for their leadership in community; to the Mayor & City Council for the opportunity to share an update on how your state team defended city priorities on transportation, public safety, housing, and childcare; and to the community for your advocacy on issues that matter most to you and your family!

Last week, I was honored to join 5th grade students at Lakeland Elementry to talk about civics and joined Principal Ebel at Green Gables Elementary for the day to better understand the “day in the life” of our school principles!

Thank you to the parents and educators that made these visits possible. Getting to see what is working and what needs more of our attention in Olympia to help every student in our Federal Way Public Schools succeed is invaluable!
