❤️🐾 HAPPY UPDATE ON OUR YOUNG MAMA CAT! 🐾❤️
After spending about 6–7 hours with this sweet little nugget yesterday, we have a wonderful update to share!

We were able to locate her family, and it turns out she is very loved. She has not one, but two mommies at home, along with two little rugrats who absolutely adore her. ❤️

We also learned that she had a litter of kittens about three months ago and is likely pregnant again. Based on the information provided by the family, the pregnancy may have occurred approximately 3–4 weeks ago.

The best part? The family was incredibly receptive to education and wanted to do what was best for her.

Our rescue family took the time to talk with them, answer questions, and discuss the importance of spaying and preventative veterinary care. Because of that conversation, this sweet girl will be getting spayed within the next week, and Help Us Help Them Dog Rescue will be covering the cost of her spay, combo test, and vaccinations.

That means no more babies for this mama. ❤️

This situation is also a great reminder that when we talk at people, we often get nowhere. But when we take the time to talk with people, listen, educate, and offer support, amazing things can happen.

The family truly wants what is best for her and was very open to learning. We also discussed nutrition, as she is quite thin. They had been feeding her regular adult cat food, so we recommended switching her to kitten food for the next few months to help her put on some healthy weight and get the extra calories she needs.

For everyone who shared her post, offered advice, reached out, and helped spread the word—thank you. Your shares made a difference.

Rescue isn't always about removing animals from their families. Sometimes it's about helping families keep and care for the animals they already love.

If you'd like to help our rescue family continue assisting families and animals in our community, please consider checking out our 🍄🐾 Adopt A Mushroom, Save A Pup Fundraiser 🐾🍄 located in the Help Us Help Them Dog Rescue Fundraising Group throughout the month of June.

Every handcrafted cement mushroom sold helps us continue our mission of providing veterinary care, outreach assistance, education, and support for animals and families who need a helping hand.

Thank you again, everyone. This sweet girl has a bright future ahead of her, and because of education, compassion, and community support, her story now has a much happier ending. ❤️

🚨 URGENT: PREGNANT CAT NEEDS RESCUE TODAY : Please Share (8 Mile & Woodward Area)🚨

This beautiful mama-to-be is only a baby herself—she's not even a year old. She is extremely friendly, affectionate, and very food motivated. As a dog rescuer, I don't claim to be a cat expert, but she's definitely pregnant.

At first, I thought she may have already had kittens, but she is not lactating. She is very thin and appears emaciated despite being pregnant, which is incredibly concerning.

Unfortunately, I cannot bring her into my home. One of my dogs is not cat-friendly and has a high prey drive, so it would not be safe for her.

She desperately needs a reputable cat rescue, foster, or experienced placement willing to step up and help her today.

If your rescue can take her, or if you know of a rescue that may be able to help, please send Michael James a private message as soon as possible.

Please share. Let's get this sweet girl somewhere safe before she has her babies. ❤️🐾

And please excuse my allergy sniffles and paint-covered hands in the video. I've been busy painting mushrooms for our Adopt A Mushroom, Save A Pup Fundraiser! 🍄🐾❤️
