These pups are looking for foster homes, and they’re so ready to feel safe, loved, and understood. 💛🐾

Fostering is simple, full of love, and honestly a lot of fun — but the impact is huge. When a dog goes into a foster home, everything changes for them. Stress melts away. Personalities blossom. They learn routines, manners, and what it feels like to be part of a family. That makes them happier, healthier, and adopted so much faster.

But fostering doesn’t just change a dog’s life — it changes yours too. Families who foster often share that:
-Kids learn empathy and responsibility in a real, hands‑on way.
-Homes feel more joyful with a temporary furry friend bringing laughter and routine.
-It’s flexible — you choose the type of dog and the timeframe that works for your life.
-It’s healing — spending time with animals reduces stress, lowers anxiety, and boosts overall well‑being.

And for the dogs?
-They decompress from the stress of kennel life.
-They learn home skills that make adopters fall in love faster.
-They get individualized care — something a shelter environment can’t always provide.
-They become adoptable in ways that simply don’t happen in a kennel.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign. You can give a dog a safe place to land, a soft bed to sleep on, and the chance to become the best version of themselves — all while bringing something special into your own home.

One small “yes” from you can change everything for them. 🐶❤️ Apply to foster at EHRDOGS.org

Please note: some dogs may require several meet-and-greets before fostering or adoption to ensure it’s the right fit for both you and the dog.

A message from our president:

"I want to announce that we are rolling out the Aster safe home program.

In case you don’t know the story of aster he was a very loved family member in Jerilyn Marino Newman and Russ Newman’s pack. He went to the vet to be neutered and unfortunately he escaped and went missing. This technology didn’t exist at the time. But now it does!! We will be outfitting every dog with a GPS collar from Fi after we work out the kinks. Sometimes from tragedy comes amazing things and Aster has created that."
