Please meet Christian Russell Dunn our first Flint4Flint scholarship recipient!!! As you know, we focused on helping a student who had been in the Foster Care System. Our Board Member Tywan Feimster came up with this amazing idea as a focal point for selecting our recipient. We are awarding Christian $6.000 over the course of one year including weekly mentorship from myself , Omar McGee and Tywan Feimster. We will have guest mentors once a month as well. We plan to help Christian finish strong and with our support, as he is a current student at Central Michigan University . Christian was in the foster care system for three years. He is from Oxford, MI but attended Job Corps in Flint and started out his college career at U of M Flint - He fell in love with the city of Flint and will be contributing to its betterment through community service and giving back as often as possible (as is a requirement of the scholarship.)
