The Supreme Court has put TPS families at risk, but we are not backing down.
On June 25, the Court reversed lower-court protections that had paused the termination of TPS for Syria and Haiti, putting thousands of our neighbors at risk of losing work authorization and protection from deportation.
But Flint is already showing up and fighting back. On June 27, FAIR and community members rallied in solidarity with immigrant families, called out the harmful implications of these decisions, and demanded immediate action from Congress.
Now, FAIR is taking this fight to Congress. Our TPS Advocacy Toolkit is live with talking points, call and email scripts, congressional contact information, background on legislative pathways, and ways to take action.

Following last week’s Supreme Court rulings that hurt immigrant communities, people across the country have been mobilizing, organizing rallies/protest, and are calling on congress to take action now.
This video brings together clips from the broader movement, along with speeches from FAIR’s June 27 emergency rally downtown, where our community gathered to share what these rulings mean and how we can continue to show up and demand action. Special shoutout to our partners at No Detentions Centers Michigan who came out and stood alongside us.
Thank you to Flint Daily and Patrick Hayes for covering the rally and highlighting the urgency of this moment. Read the full article at the link in our bio and story.
Stay tuned: This evening we will be releasing an advocacy toolkit with email and call scripts to reach out to our congressional offices.

(Español abajo)🚨Flint, we need you! Kolvin is a Venezuelan asylum seeker and Flint resident who has been held at North Lake Correctional Facility for over 6 months, separated from his family.
Together, Flint and Genesee County raised the funds for his legal representation and today, a judge ruled he can be released on bond.
The bond is $7,000 and his sister, a refugee raising two children, has a limited window to pay it before that opportunity disappears. She cannot do this alone.
This community has already proven what we're capable of. We fought for Kolvin, we showed up, and we won. One final push and he walks out of that facility and back to his family.
Please donate if you can, and share this post with everyone you know. Every hour counts.

Supreme Court Decision Puts thousands of Syrian and Haitian TPS Holders at Risk
The Supreme Court has reversed lower-court protections that had paused the termination of TPS for Syria and Haiti. This decision gives the administration more power to end TPS protections while making it harder for affected communities to fight back in court. This decision puts Syrian and Haitian TPS holders at risk of losing work authorization and protection from deportation.
The fight is not over. FAIR will continue to stand with Syrian and Haitian TPS holders and all immigrant communities. We will share more information soon.
