October WI Ticks | Lyme Awareness | We are approaching heightened activity for adult deer ticks (blacklegged ticks). Below is a map of October positive deer ticks (Lyme, Anaplasma, Babesia, Relapsing fever) and images of recent tick submissions. Prevent tick bites and, if bitten, remove ticks promptly. Always save your tick in a dry zip loc bag- store in the freezer (or in ethanol).
