Today, RJ Ferraro teamed up with his old law school roommate, Michael Ohle of Ohle & Ohle to present the Court with a Stand Your Ground Defense Motion for their co-defendants. The Result? Case Dismissed!

Here are three things to remember when exchanging children for the holidays or on any days for that matter, to avoid conflict or worse, criminal prosecution:

1. If you have a court ordered parenting plan, don't try to deviate from the dates and times unless both parent's clearly agree.

2. If you don't have a parenting plan established by the courts but live separate from the other parent, petition the court to create one. You will still have plenty of chances to negotiate a plan with the other parent, but in the event you can't agree, the court will come up with parameters which ultimately lead to less confusion and less conflict.
