Getting your website indexed by Google is imperative for your company to be found online.

Here are a few quick tips you can implement now to expedite the process:

STEP 1:
✅ Make sure your website is indexable to begin with.

You can test your URL with SEOptimer's free tools!

I can’t tell you the amount of times we’ve worked with companies that aren’t getting any traffic and it’s because the previous developer forgot to make it indexable 🤦

STEP 2:
✅ Sign up for Google Search Console and submit your sitemap.xml by doing the following:

1) Go to Google Search Console
2) Navigate to the sitemaps page
3) Enter your sitemap.xml URL
4) Click Submit

STEP 3:
✅ Once you’ve submitted your sitemap to Google Search Console, you can check if individual pages have been indexed by doing the following:

1) Go to Google Search Console
2) Navigate to the URL inspection tool
3) Paste the URL you’d like Google to index into the search bar.
4) Wait for Google to check the URL
5) Click the “Request indexing” button

STEP 4:
✅ Search Google with the site: filter

Once you’ve done all of the above you can track all the pages that Google has indexed for your website by searching: site:{website_url}
