Hey Hey 💚🌻

I’ve got the scoop so far and I need a headcount so we don’t overbook the space and get shut down 👀

I’m locking in a spot with a pavilion and grills and we’re turning it into the ultimate Backyard BBQ Summer Kickoff.

We’ll have co****le, croquet, and all the classic backyard games. I’ll be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers with all the fixings, plus I’m going all out on a s’mores bar… like next level. Different cookies, toppings, the whole thing. You already know I’m about to be extra with it 😆

Curious Elixirs is hooking us up with drinks and I’m so pumped about this part. These are non-alcoholic but not soda or juice. Think botanical, mood-shifting, actually delicious drinks that feel like an experience.

Instead of a band, we’re bringing back that old Soul Aura shop energy. If you play music, bring your instrument and jump in. We’ll have an open mic style flow, unamplified so it stays chill and intimate.

I see some of the parks have a volleyball court...if that's where we land-there's definitely going to be a game going on!!!! Are there any other team activities yall want to suggest? This would make it even cooler!

Dogs are welcome too 🐾 just make sure they’re well-socialized and leashed.

Drop a comment or message me if you’re coming so I can get a solid headcount!

I'm trying to host it at a Frederick City Park that is walking distance of downtown to make it accessible to as many as I can! Bring the kids, your cousins, the besties, your aunt & uncle, grandma, grandpa, your neighbors...we need to all get together and enjoy the midweek hump every once in a while!

Hey Hey💚🌻

Alright…I know I might be asking for a unicorn here, but I’m on a mission and I KNOW this community always comes through.

I’ve been searching for the perfect space to host a FREE, open-to-the-public Kickoff to Summer Backyard BBQ-style event… and I’m looking for a spot that can truly bring this whole vision to life.

(Just to clarify, the event itself is completely free for the public to attend. I would absolutely love to find a space willing to host this at no cost, that's not what I'm asking for. I am open to paying a reasonable rental fee for the right location.)

Here’s what I’m dreaming up:

• Outdoor space (central location + solid parking is a must)
• Room for a 10x20 tent (there will be a mocktail bar and a few tables)
• I would love for the whole town to come out so need space for however many show up (there will be an event for people to respond so I have a better idea closer to the day)
• I’ll be serving non-alcoholic botanical drinks sponsored by Curious Elixirs (so this is NOT your typical soda situation 👀)
• Space for a firepit + next-level s’mores bar (think cookies, candies, all the fun stuff… not basic at all) (I will have fire extinguishers etc.)
• Areas for backyard games: co****le, horseshoes, bocce, croquet… maybe even multiple sets going
• A small area for a live acoustic band (unamplified, chill vibes, no need for electricity)

📅 Date: Wednesday, May 13th
⏰ Time: Around 5–8 or 5–9 PM

This is family-friendly, community-centered, and all about giving people something FUN and wholesome to do midweek.

Because seriously…
who says we can’t have a memorable, high-vibe night without alcohol on a random Wednesday??

If you know of:
• A venue
• A private property
• A business with outdoor space
• Or even someone who might be open to hosting

PLEASE drop it below or tag them 🙏

Let’s create something really special for the community.

Toodles ✨

What If Connection Was Never Meant to Need a Shortcut?

Walk into almost any celebration and you will notice the same pattern within minutes. A bottle is opened, drinks are passed around, and someone asks what you would like before they truly ask who you are. It is not forced or even questioned. It is simply what we have come to expect.

Alcohol has quietly become the starting point for so many experiences. It shows up when we celebrate, when we are stressed, and when we are trying to connect. It is often the first step we take before we have even fully arrived in the moment.

What is interesting is how rarely we stop to notice it.

How often do we reach for something before we have checked in with ourselves? Before we have allowed a conversation to unfold naturally? Before we have given ourselves the chance to simply be present?

There is a quiet shift happening right now. More people are beginning to recognize how automatic this pattern feels. It is not about rejecting anything or making a bold statement. It is about becoming aware.

And once that awareness is there, a different question begins to take shape.

What if connection was never meant to need a shortcut?

When you allow yourself to be fully present, something changes. Conversations begin to feel more genuine, and laughter feels more natural. You are no longer partially removed from the experience. You are fully there for it.

That is when you start to notice the difference. You become more aware of what actually fills you up and what leaves you feeling drained. You begin to understand which moments feel real and which ones feel surface-level.

This shift does not come from forcing yourself to change. It comes from paying attention.

The next time you find yourself in a moment meant to be enjoyed, take a second to pause. Notice what you reach for, and notice how you feel. Pay attention to whether you are truly present for the experience.

You may find that the moments that stay with you are not the ones that help you step away from your life, but the ones that allow you to fully step into it.

Well that was a fun way to start the morning!

I had the chance to be on Good Morning Frederick today talking about what I’ve been building lately… The Reverie craft events, the non-alcoholic beverage bar for weddings and events, and The Moss Table where I teach herbalism and natural living.

The new studio is absolutely gorgeous, and I even got to be the third person to sign their wall, which felt pretty special.

If you missed it live this morning, you can watch the interview here 👇

I’m really grateful for the chance to share this vision of creating spaces where people can gather, get creative, and enjoy beautiful botanical drinks whether they drink alcohol or not.

Thanks to everyone who keeps cheering this dream on 💚

I’ll be joining Good Morning Frederick live this Wednesday, March 11 at 9 AM to talk about The Reverie, alcohol-free hospitality, and building more intentional community spaces.

If you’ve ever wondered what we’re doing with botanical beverages, sober social events, or how we’re creating inclusive spaces where people can connect without alcohol… we’re diving into all of it.

Come hang out with us live!
