As someone who is mildly creative and enjoys practicing art in many forms at a very MID level, I will say with certainty that I would rather see your five-year-olds stick figure drawing of you, your family, and what you’re into than an AI slop cartoon that was spit out based on personal information you feed into a robot.

And I know no one cares what I think or want, but I have to believe that deep down we are better than this, that we have more creativity inside us than a machine does and that we see the inherent emptiness of these fake images shared just to be seen and get a few likes.

We’re not all artists, but we’re all human and are wired to create and make, not just consume and absorb.

And also, Friday mornings spent like this are the life I have dreamed of. That is all.

Normal people hit the grocery store to stock up before a snowstorm.
