Lee Hartman is taking it to the semis here at the Ge**er Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals! Hartman’s .027 reaction time in his Carrier Services Group Drag Pak came with a stout 7.727, 180.65 to top a 7.738, 177.14 from Alex Anderson. Hartman will race Jason Dietsch and his Cobra Jet Mustang in the next round.

Doug Duell’s 7.737, 174.96 in his DLD Motorsports Drag Pak gave Jonathan Allegrucci and his Cobra Jet a challenge, but ultimately it was a 7.706 in the opposite lane that ended Duell's weekend in the second round. Great job to Doug, Kevin Helms, Max, and Lane. On to the next!

The semis are scheduled to take place after the first round of the pros today, so stay tuned.

Lee Hartman and Doug Duell are taking their Dodge Challenger Drag Paks to the quarterfinals!

Hartman was .039 at the tree to Mark Pawuk's .064 and made another great run to halt the reigning champ. His 7.697, 178.99 beat a 7.775, 177.98.

Duell clocked a bold 7.718, 179.28 to top James Betz, who got into trouble soon after leaving the starting line.

Hartman will race Alex Anderson's COPO Camaro next round, and Duell will go toe to toe with Jonathan Allegrucci in the Cobra Jet Mustang. It's a battle of the brands and we are HERE FOR IT!

Those who didn't advance for our team sure put up a good fight: David Janac was a cool .015 at the tree but it was David Davies with the nod; Alex Anderson advanced when Ricky Hord started spinning the tires; and Matt Hartman's .026 got the jump on Scott Libersher's .087, but at the stripe it was his opponent's 7.724 that topped a 7.833.

It was a long day as we held off until the very end to finish qualifying, then we roared right back up for round one as the sun was saying sayonara. Tomorrow, we're on target for a 9:30 a.m. start time for alcohol cars, and then we'll get to race round two before opening ceremonies for the Pros. Sleep well, fellas. Tomorrow should be a long and prosperous day.
