This past week, the UF Meat Science group traveled to Amarillo, TX to attend the 79th annual Reciprocal Meat Conference to learn, network, and represent UF.
The quiz bowl team finished 6th out of over 40 teams. Team members include: Lauren Higgins, Joyce Worley, Jordyn Brekke, Sydney Brunson, Jacqueline Degirmenci, Angelica Palacios, and Kayla Edwin.
On the way to Amarillo, the group also got to tour JBS Pilgrims Live Oak, 44 Farms, Standard Meat Company Dallas, and the Tyson Pepperoni Plant in Dallas.
