Second day .tx TACLS 2026 was an amazing reminder that your MLS journey does not stop at the bachelor’s degree—it can keep growing with UTMB! From MSMLS and DCLS to MSTM, Pathologists’ Assistant, post-baccalaureate certificate program and SBB, UTMB offers multiple pathways to help you advance your knowledge, skills, and career in laboratory medicine.

Another great day for CLS faculty at SCABB ‘26! We are proud to see our faculty engaged in leadership, including SBB Program Director Diana Riddle as co-chair of the Advanced Immunohematology & Molecular Symposium. It was also an honor to share the moment with members of the AIMS committee and Dr. Thierry Peyrard, renowned French scientist and researcher.

Strong leadership, meaningful collaboration, and a shared commitment to advancing transfusion medicine and blood banking—this is what professional engagement looks like! Proud of our CLS faculty for representing and leading in the profession.

From Galveston to San Antonio, our UTMB Laboratory Science students and faculty are TACLS conference-bound! After a full semester of preparation, two incredible student teams are ready to compete in the 2026 TACLS Student Bowl. We are proud of their hard work and excited to cheer them on.
