After roaming around the vintage shops in West Bottoms, we stopped by Parlor in Crossroads on the way home. Parlor is one of those places that has multiple places to eat, food court style. We chose LadyBird Taqueria, since we are always in the mood for Mexican food. The tacos were really good, but the portions are small so make sure to order extra. This got pretty pricey with a whole family to feed. The fancy ramen was really good! The queso was good even when after cooled down.

This weekend we roamed up to Kansas City's West Bottoms. We thought that Blip Coffee had closed, but it just moved! The new building is much bigger than before, and the coffee is still great. There is a huge gift shop now. If there isn't much parking next to the building, then there is a ton under the highway.

We were roaming around Wichita this weekend when we stopped in at The Easy Egg. It was an open and bright atmosphere. It seemed to be a very popular place as there were several other guests waiting to be seated and several people who had joined the wait list online and got seated quickly when they arrived. The Dubai crepes were already sold out for the day. We ordered the Nutella crepes instead and they were very tasty! The El Benny Skillet was also really good as well as the omelettes and the coffee! We will be back again!

Today, we roamed over to the Delano District near downtown Wichita to eat at Nuway. This is a Wichita classic, and I was surprised at how busy it was (they are hiring if you are interested). The crumbly burgers brought back nostalgic memories and the root beer is simply the best, especially when served in a cold mug.

We roamed down to Wichita this weekend and had to stop at Station 8 BBQ. The line was crazy long. We waited an hour, but it was worth the wait. We got the Yeti for $100 and fed the whole family. The Yeti is perfect to take home and share. The cornbread pudding (not really pudding) and the burnt ends were our favorites.

Have you tried the new McDonald's Big Arch burger?

Today, while roaming around Shawnee, we stopped by DeiRel for some Sushi. The restaurant was small but open. The food was very tasty. We had the spicy chicken roll (yes chicken) and the DeiRel Special Roll A. Both were very good. The Boba and miso soup were good too!

This weekend we roamed all the way over to Independence, Missouri and stopped by Palacio Maya Mexican Restaurant. The atmosphere was our favorite part. The decorations were top notch. The rice, along with the chips and salsa were our favorite food items. They didn't have steak enchiladas, so they let me substitute steak in the chicken enchiladas for an extra charge. I wanted to make sure that it was a fair comparison with the enchiladas from other Mexican restaurants we have been to lately. So far, Catcus Grill and K Machos are still my favorite. We will keep roaming around Kansas City looking for the best. Let us know if you have any places we should try.

Today, we roamed up to Shawnee for some sushi at Oishi. The crab rangoons were sweet and tasty. The miso soup was top notch, and the sushi came on one big platter for sharing. The chicken fried rice was smokey and flavorful. This is one of our favorite sushi spots, and it never fails to impress. Try the Vegas roll!

The first time I roamed over to Minsky's Pizza, I wasn't impressed, but the more I go there, the more I like it. I think that this was my fault by initially choosing unusual pizzas like the cheeseburger pizza and the hot wings pizza. The 5 Star Cheese Pizza and the Prime Cut Pizza are delicious! The calzones and salads are great too! This is a good reminder to give restaurants a second chance.

On Saturday we braved the cold as buffalo do and roamed around downtown Overland Park. We ate at Lulu's Noodles to warm up. I hadn't been to that location yet, but it was well decorated and cozy. The crab rangoons we ordered were savory and cheesy. We'd give them a 9/10. The drunken noodles with steak were good, but I liked the pad krapoa better. It was a seasonal menu item, so I'm not sure how long it will be offered. We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area.
Hot take of the day: Cactus Grill has the best enchiladas, even though I know Cactus Grill is just a fancy Jose Peppers. K Machos also has great enchiladas! Any other amazing enchilada locations in Kansas?
