Little Lotus Rescue and Sanctuary

Mr. Auggie boy went in for his recheck and CT scan yesterday with his neurologist Dr. Alcott. We have seen no progress with his incontinence while on antibiotics so that has us a little crest fallen but his mobility HAS improved. Was it because of the antibiotics? Was it because he is growing into his own body? Don’t know. It’s not perfect but better than it was. We relooked at X-rays to review the last month of his day to day and decided that the CT was the best course of action for trying to find problems that are “fixable”. Auggie has a noticeable head tilt so that was added to our long list of questions too🫠

We got some news back from the CT and a couple of things are waiting for radiology review.

Right now we know that Auggie has Hydrocephalus and he has Spina Bifida. Both of these diagnosis are congenital and the more Dr. Alcott talked about bulldog nervous systems the more sad I felt.

We will wait for the final write up to be finalized this week about 2 more potential concerns but at this point he’s collecting diagnosis🚑
