I believe a litter of 5 month old puppies were dumped at MCACC. They look Doberman, possibly rottie mix puppies. One of the pups is on the euthanasia list for June 10th because he has two broken toes. I’m not sure why they feel that is a good reason to not make him adoptable to the public and a candidate for euthanasia. I’m sure having two broken toes is painful, but it’s also temporary and they should be feeling better soon. I don’t know if there a surgery that is recommended to fix broken toes. I would assume that they don’t do anything except maybe try taping it to the next to it so that it can heal faster.
If you are looking for a puppy, and are interested in this one, he is new hope only meaning the public can not adopt from the shelter only a rescue can take the puppy in. I would be willing to help you with that if you are wanting to save this dogs life.
You would still need to fill out our application because we are not going to be responsible to placing a puppy into a home we do not know anything about. It’s on our website www.rottenrottie.com I believe that his siblings are available for adoption through Maricopa county animal care and control. Please contact them for more info on the siblings.
Here are their notes on him

You must live in AZ to adopt from us

Update/ not good news for Luke. He not only has a seizure disorder, failing kidneys but he is also a diabetic and we are testing him for addison’s disease
Yesterday I was at Dr. Carr’s with Luke after he had two seizures, something he has never experienced before. Since his kidneys haven’t been functioning at 100%, he was due for bloodwork anyway, so it was good timing to get him checked out.
This morning, I’m right back at Dr. Carr’s, this time with Dolce.
I suspect she may have Valley Fever. She’s been coughing for an unknown reason, has had very little appetite for the past couple of weeks, and has lost nearly 10 pounds. I even grilled her a steak, and she only ate half of it. She hasn’t been exposed to kennel cough or any other virus that I’m aware of, so we’re hoping to get some answers today.
Dolce has been with me for about four years, and she is not a fan of strangers touching her. Luke was easy. Dolce… not so much.
We muzzled her and gave her a sedative so they could draw blood. The second that needle went in, she made it very clear she was prepared to murder someone. It took everything I had to hold her back. Thankfully, the sedative has kicked in and she is now dozing peacefully.
If it turns out to be Valley Fever, I honestly don’t know how I’m going to get pills into her every day. She has never bitten me, but when she’s uncomfortable she makes it very clear that biting is always on the table.
Some days rescue work is cuddly puppies and happy adoptions. Other days it’s sitting in the vet’s office wondering what’s wrong with the dogs you love while trying not to get bitten.
Please keep Luke and Dolce in your thoughts today. Hopefully we’ll have some answers soon.
