We spent the evening with a pair of taco filled pants. Now, that’s not something you say everyday…
Who can guess what these pants are for??

What are the chances… People are often surprised to learn that my business partner (who also happens to be my husband) and I are both left handed. It’s a fun fact that was made even more fun after child #1 was born - she followed suit and became a leftie, too. Our happy household could all use the same pair of “left handed scissors” and no one complained if we flipped the spiral bound notebook over to write on the back side of the pages - that metal spine was clearly designed by and for right handed folk.

Together the three of us lived in harmony, until child #2 arrived with some right handed plans of his own. Despite our efforts of occasionally putting the pencil or ball in his left hand, he’d always pop it right back into his right. Thus, ending our streak of lefties at 3. They say that left handed people tend to be more creative. Given our line of work, I suppose that seems to be true, so even if #2 learns to cut paper or hit a ball with the opposite hand, maybe we can still pass some of those creative juices on to him.

Today is International Left Handers Day. Where are all my other lefties? We've got a celebratory high five, just for you!

I’ve heard it said that it’s not happy people who are thankful, but thankful people who are happy. So in the interest of amping up today’s happiness quotient, I’m calling out three things for which I'm grateful:
1: Spring - it's got to be right around the corner, no?
2: Productive days, we've already crossed two big projects off the to-do list today!
3: Donuts. The new peanut butter one they had at was the bomb.

I don’t know about you, but my to-do list for this upcoming week pretty full. Thanks to some much needed sunshine flowing in, I'm feeling energized and ready to get some work done! What simple joys have started your day off on the right foot?

We love finding amazing resources right in our own backyard. Growing businesses and start-ups can gain so much insight from GROW. We got to hear a little bit about them yesterday at the Muskegon Innovation Hub at Grand Valley State University, and even spent some time in their co-working space. We encourage business owners to check out all they have to offer.
